Govt will not go for lockdown as far as possible: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has started addressing the nation on the occasion of Nepali New Year, 2078.

Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Oli said around 12 residential houses are being constructed on a daily basis. Similarly, five and a half kilometers of road is being constructed on a daily basis.

Prime Minister Oli said the government will not impose lockdown as far as possible. “It will try its best to curb the surging COVID-19 through other preventive measures such as the implementation of health protocols. The government will go for the lockdown only when all the preventive measures fail to curb the pandemic,” said Prime Minister Oli.

He said Dharahara will get completion in the next 10 days. Mero Kitta (my plot) digital campaign has been initiated as part of the government achievements in order to enable people to spot their plot of land online.

As many as 197 hospitals have been inaugurated and will expedite their construction in this New Year, boasted Oli

Similarly, PM Oli is also scheduled to meet with editors from various media outlets today.
